As always, the month of September saw the release of several awesome free WordPress themes. While most eyes are fixed on the rapid pace at which Twenty Sixteen is being developed, there were several other theme releases this month as well.

In fact, Automattic released a couple of new themes in September (apart from Twenty Sixteen). Also, the trend this month was in favor of child themes. So all said and done, let’s sum up the top WordPress themes from September 2015.

Released by WP Kube, Launch is a free WordPress theme meant for placeholder purposes. So if you are looking for a “coming soon” theme, Launch is what you should look at. It features tight integration with MailChimp, and is fully responsive and easily customizable.

Oberon is a child theme for Twenty Fifteen. Basically, it does not do much and inherits all the features of Twenty Fifteen — it simply changes the default layout by moving the navigation menu and sidebar to the right, rather than left.

AccessPress Store

AccessPress Store is an eCommerce WordPress theme that integrates with WooCommerce. It features custom home page layouts, custom sliders, custom widgets, as well as specialized layouts for checkout pages.
