November was a busy month for the WordPress community. While we await the release of WordPress 4.4, we witnessed the public release of the open-source desktop client for Mac, Calypso.
Of course, as usual, there were several amazing free themes that were released during November. In this post, we take a look at some of the most awesome free WordPress themes from the month of November 2015.
Free WordPress Themes
Meant for personal blogs, Pro Blogg is one of the most minimal and clean WordPress themes out there. Featuring a responsive slider, fully mobile-friendly layout, and clean typography, Pro Blogg is meant for you if you are looking for a no-nonsense theme.
Personally, the headings font and the header flower illustrations haven’t impressed me much, but then, Ingrid is a theme meant for “simple, feminine bloggers,” and the design does well for that niche. Ingrid is responsive and comes with a widgetized footer.
Shopistic Lite is a free WordPress theme with tight WooCommerce integration. It is translation ready, fully responsive, and also has a Pro version with additional features.
WP Gumby is a WordPress theme with WooCommerce support and flat design. It is responsive and comes with custom page templates as well.
Iwata is a minimal, lightweight, and responsive WordPress theme with a single-column layout and a focus on clean typography.
WpF Flaty is a responsive WordPress theme with a flat design. It is built with Bootstrap 3 and offers custom color schemes and jQuery effects.
SKT Girlie Lite
SKT Girlie Lite is a WordPress theme meant for feminine blogs. It is responsive and has a Pro version that, among other features, claims to be “better responsive” (whatever that might mean). Girlie Lite integrates well with WooCommerce and comes with custom page templates.
Resi is a theme meant for photo blogs or portfolio sites with heavy image content. It offers a grid-like layout, is responsive, and supports Google Fonts. Resi also has a Pro version with added features.
Material for Coders
Material for Coders is a free WordPress theme based on Material Design principles.
Colinear is an updated version of the ever-popular Caroline theme. It is clean and minimal, fully responsive, translation ready, and comes with multiple widget areas.
